We honor early childhood with intention, warmth, and wonder—welcoming a small circle of potty-trained children ages 2–5 into a calm, screen-free space where they can play, grow, and feel truly known. With a focus on connection and peaceful rhythms, we create a place where little ones feel safe, seen, and celebrated from the very start.

Meet Ms. Muffin
(aka Mrs. Brea Cooper)
Back when I taught middle school, my students were trying to make fun of me by calling me “Little Miss Muffet” because of my maiden name, Moffett. But they messed it up and started calling me “Ms. Muffin” instead. It was meant to be a joke, but the name stuck—and honestly, I didn’t mind. Somewhere along the way, it became a nickname I grew to love.
So did my love for working with kids.
Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worn many hats in schools: teacher, school-based mental health counselor, and school counselor. I’ve taught in classrooms, sat with students through hard moments, and supported families navigating life’s messier seasons. I’ve seen firsthand the impact of overstretched systems—and I knew in my heart there had to be another way.
Muffin’s Cottage is that other way.
It’s the space I longed for when I was working inside the system—calm, creative, and centered around connection.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and early childhood provider, I bring together my backgrounds in education and mental health to create a home-based program where little ones feel safe, emotionally supported, and free to be themselves. Here, children are invited to grow at their own pace, express big feelings, and delight in everyday joys.
